Arash Fakhim
Arash Fakhim (Teheran, IR, 1987) woont en werkt in zowel Nederland als Duitsland. Schakelend tussen verschillende disciplines, landen en culturen in zijn leven, vormt Fakhim het kruispunt dat al deze werelden met elkaar verbindt. In zijn praktijk interesseert hij zich in de vervagende scheidingslijnen tussen het oppervlak, het subject, het object, het ding en de acteur. Het werk van Fakhim is altijd in beweging. Hij vraagt voortdurend 'wat als' om zo met objecten en materialen te werken om een dialoog op gang te brengen over alles wat zich om ons heen beweegt. Deze vloeibaarheid rondom de dingen resulteert in een gechoreografeerde visuele kakofonie die gewaagd, optimistisch en open voor discussie is.
Arash Fakhim (b. 1987, Tehran, IR) lives and works in both the Netherlands and Germany. Switching between different disciplines, countries and cultures in his life, Fakhim forms the intersection that connects all these worlds. In his practice, he is interested in the blurring divisions between the surface, the subject, the object, the thing and the actor. Fakhim's work is always in flux. He constantly asks "what ifs" in order to work with objects and materials to create a dialogue about everything that moves around us. This fluidity around things results in a choreographed visual cacophony that is bold, optimistic and open to discussion.
